
Course Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to attend this class and have a state or federal photo ID. A passport or passport card is acceptable.

Classes are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday through Monday, rain or shine.

You must attend consecutive days – no missed days or make-ups.

Choose a date for your class from the above schedule.

To reserve your spot, send us a check for $100, along with your class date and email address. We must receive your $100 reservation deposit at least 10 days before the start of the class.

Send your check to Scott Durward, 10580 N. McCarran BLVD, Suite 115 Box 310 Reno, NV 89503. We will confirm receipt of your check and dates. The balance of $450 is due in cash on the morning of day one.

Bring your lunch, snacks, water, layered clothing, and sunscreen. There are no food services on the property or nearby.

Services on the range include ice water, bathrooms, shade structure, chairs, and sunscreen.

We have absolutely ZERO TOLERANCE for drugs, including medical marijuana and alcohol. We also do not tolerate bad and combative attitudes. If any of these are exhibited, you will be removed from the class without a refund!

Safety and a positive experience are paramount for everyone’s sake.

Range capacity is limited to 20 people. Class space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Physical & Mental Requirements

All students must be prepared and capable of being on their feet, in the elements, for long and tiring 8-hour days. There will be a one-hour lunch break each day, and several lectures in the seats, but endurance is a factor.

All students must be able to step to the side, step back, and rotate in place. If they cannot, they may have to sit out particular exercises.

There is no actual handicapped access to or on this range.

To attend this class, you must have a good working attitude and be of sound mind. If not, you may be removed without a refund.

We have no bilingual instructors, so English is the required language.
Required Equipment and Gear
-
Any modern semi-auto or revolver handgun – caliber .380 or .38 and up.
-
Recommend bringing a backup gun of the same requirement since we do not have rentals, an armorer or a gunsmith!

Gun must be no smaller than the size of a Glock 26 or equivalent. No pocket or micro-guns!
-
Minimum of three magazines or speed loaders. Four is better!
-
Minimum of two mag pouches. Three is better!
-
850 rounds of factory new ammo. No personal or factory reloads.
-
A holster specific to your gun that covers the trigger completely.
-
A sturdy standard 1-1/2″ instructor-type belt or equivalent fed through actual belt loops on your pants. No spandex or athletic pants!

A concealment garment appropriate for the current weather forecast of your class.

Electronically enhanced hearing protection.
-
Wrap around eye protection.
-
A hat with a brim.
-
Closed-neck shirt and closed-toe shoes.
To Successfully Pass Our Equipment Inspection

Your gun must be clean and fully functioning, including all safeties, grip safeties, de-cockers, magazine releases, cylinder catches, etc. The gun and its controls must be properly handed to its operator (i.e., left or right-handed setup)

All triggers must have a press weight of at least four pounds. An aftermarket trigger must have a press weight of at least four pounds and must engage any internal safeties that the stock trigger did.

The gun can not be physically smaller than a Glock 26 or equivalent – no pocket or microguns allowed. Semi autos must be .380 or up in caliber/revolvers must be .38 or up in caliber.

All ammunition must be factory new – no personal or factory reloads.

The holster must be Kydex or formed leather. The holster must retain its shape and not collapse when the gun is removed. The holster must completely cover the trigger when the gun is holstered so no finger can touch the trigger while holstered. No thigh rigs, chest rigs, appendix, cross draw, or shoulder holsters will be accepted; standard belt-mounted waist holsters only, inside or outside the waistband, are acceptable as long as they do not collapse.

A sturdy belt and pants with actual belt loops are required for stability and safety.

A closed-neck shirt and closed-toe shoes are required due to flying hot brass from your neighbors on the firing line.

Good eye protection, such as safety glasses or wrap-around sunglasses and a hat with a brim, are required.
Refunds of Class Fees

We must receive your $100 reservation deposit no less than 10 days before the start of the class.

Cancellations with more than 10 days from the class date will be refunded.

Cancellations with less than 10 days from class date will NOT be refunded.

Once you are signed in on the morning of day one, there will be no refunds if you do not complete the class for any reason.

If you fail to show up for your class on the morning of day one, you will have forfeited your deposit.
